I liked The Rules of Rebellion much better than the last Crush book I read and most people should know I do like these books. They are usually quick, easy reads for me. The Rules of Rebellion met my expectations. You don't have to read the other books in this series to know what is going on, but Luke and Meg do appear in this book so if you read this book first you will want to have the first book on hand right away. I liked how this book kind of had similar elements to the first one with the rebellion and the artist, but they weren't exactly the same. Kylie had a bucket list and on her bucket list she wanted to cause some trouble to make her life seem more interesting. Gold Rush by Jennifer Comeaux My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book was provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I knew I would love this book the moment I requested it on Netgalley. It had my type of cover, my type of plot... I love ice skating stories. And it turned out this book was pretty much what I wanted to expect out of it. I loved the whole friendship to romance part of the book. Sometimes the best romance is always the ones that start out as friends, and that quote was true for this book. This book also reminded me of The Ice Princess, even though the storylines are different. I still had the soundtrack of that movie playing in my head the whole time. The book does get intense with some drama, but I thought it was handled realistically. This was my first book I've read by this author, but I actually felt like I could relate to her characters well. Over the past year I've noticed that adult coloring books have become a popular trend. Some people are negative about it, saying that it's a worth of time because there's so many other things you could be doing. That's a little true, though coloring is a hobby. It's ok to have a hobby. Sometimes people just need to take a break from life and to just relax and unwind a little bit. Coloring is good for that. Coloring is a good stress reliever.
