The Geek's Guide to Unrequited Love



I think my rating is between two and two and a half. It was just okay to me. I tried reading this after a book that was just pure fluffy, and I just couldn't get into a book about geeks then. (I am a nerd just so you know.)

Then I finally got into it after reading a YA fantasy book, but it just fell short to me after halfway through.

There were a couple of sweet spots, but other than that if you aren't into the whole con part of the fandoms then you'll feel like you're just wandering around those hallways aimlessly pretending to care about all of the appropriate nerd references.

I wanted to like this book since it was about fandoms, but I just don't think I was the right person to enjoy the concept more. But I tried it anyway.

All I Ask by Nicole McLaughlin

All I Ask sounded and looked like my type of romance book when I first read the summary and saw the beautiful cover. I even tried to get through more than 30% when I realized it wasn't my type of romance at all. It had a decent plot, though I laughed at the part when the main girl character was actually reading on her phone in a bar. That would be something that I might do. And she got caught by one of her friends. Then the rest of the storyline from there almost won me over, though I couldn't finish it. I might one day, but for now it was just an ok read to me, but it's more for people that like to read any type of romance.

Review: The Golden Lily

The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead My rating: 5 of 5 stars When I recieved this book on my Nook, I couldn't put it down!! I had to know what would happen next, and I read it in about three days. I stayed up until 2 a.m. two nights in a row to read it. The whole book kept you guessing. Sydney had to continue her duty for protecting Jill and the rest of the clan was with her. Her and Adrian got closer, and she seemed to have gotten over her fear of vampires being evil more. I'm not going to give away any spoilers, but this book was aaaaamaaaaaaaaaaazing! I'm currently rereading the Vampire Academy books through Bloodlines so I can catch every detail again. <3 I recommended all of these books to everybody I know! My trainer at work is on the second book of Vampire Academy, and she loves them as well! Give the books a try! If you don't like Twilight, you will love this, and if you do like Twilight, you will love this! This is way better!...
